Conspiracy

I went to bed at 2.30 a.m. the other day. Just as I laid my head on the pillow, hubby got up. He went downstairs. Maybe he was getting a drink of water.

For some reason I couldn't sleep. I waited for him to come up but the minutes ticked by, and still there was no sign of him. "Was he having trouble at work that's keeping him from sleeping?" I thought to myself before eventually drifting off to lala land.

A few days later, I asked him, "Why were you up at three the other day?"

No. 1 replied on his behalf, "Watching football."

I should have known!

"And how did you know? Were you watching too?"

Father and son smiled deviously. And this is the same father who's badgering the son to study, study, study for his PMR. It's also the same father who threw dirty looks at mother and daughter who stay up till midnight to watch The Apprentice.

Huh!

my fren used to say if its bugging you (the TV show/football match), might as well watch it rather than staring at the book but keep on thinking of the match. :p

KT, Girls vs Boys, is it? I can see all this blogging is getting to both of us.

nite, that's one way of doing it. Another way is to go somewhere else where the tv can't be heard or seen, the toilet perhaps?

Haha. I'm glad that my hubby is no football or F1 or golf or whatever addict. His only "vice" (hehe) is watching kungfu movies. Now thats no problems to me at all. I can just lie beside him for cuddling time while he watches or I can watch the love story parts while he watches the sword fighting, flying around in trees, hero falling down from cliffs part.

I can never fathom why these fanatic football fans have to wake up early in the morning just to catch the game life. Would it make any difference watching the delayed telecast? Would it alter the results? tsk tsk (my daughter made an effort to watch the world cup life few years back...and this is the same person who have difficulty waking up from sleep!)

Hehe, Doc, it's the thrill of watching the goal being made at that instant! The delayed telecast loses its essence in that sense. It's like saying "Did you see the goal from Lampard last night?" .. "No not yet.. But I'll catch the delayed telecast tonight?"

Lydia, at least he doesn't go out of the house to watch it at some mamak with a bunch of other guys! Consolation? : )

Nadia, first time I hear of ppl playing soccer/basketball till 2 am. I'm sure the game ends much earlier, it's the socialising after that makes it run into overtime.

MG, kungfu movies, I also don't mind :) better than soccer anytime.

Dr/Doreen : Yep, LIVE is Tongkat Ali, delayed is tap water.

put3put4, thanks. My family is rather sweet but sometimes can be sour too. More fun, mah, like that. Ok, I'll slither over to ur blog.
